Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Oracle, and data lake publishing (streaming/batch).
• Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong SDLC discipline (CI/CD, testing strategy, code review, production support, observability).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable validation standards.
• Own end-to-end architecture and solutioning for Trust & Security data and integration capabilities.
• Design and implement real-time streaming solutions using Kafka with reliability, scalability, and governance.
• Build data publishing patterns to lake/analytical platform with observability and governance.
• Lead solution engineering for services and pipelines in Java, producing secure, high-quality production code.
• Model data stores across Cassandra and Oracle with schema design and SQL performance considerations.
• Design REST and GraphQL service interfaces with clear contracts and SLAs.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI usage in engineering workflows.
