Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Consumer and Community Banking technology team. You will lead an agile team to enhance, build, and deliver secure, scalable market-leading technology products while applying deep technical expertise.

You will own end-to-end architecture for Trust & Security data, design real-time streaming patterns with Kafka, and drive AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages/frameworks: Java, Kafka, Spark, Flink.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance to business and technical teams.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices with measurable validation standards.
• Owns end-to-end architecture for Trust & Security data and integrations.
• Designs real-time streaming solutions using Kafka with reliability and governance patterns.
• Builds data publishing patterns to lake/analytical platform with observability and data quality checks.
• Leads solution engineering for services and pipelines in Java, ensuring secure production code.
• Architects data stores across Cassandra and Oracle, considering performance and consistency.
• Designs service interfaces via REST and GraphQL with clear contracts and SLAs.
