Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in building data pipelines using AWS/Databricks.
• Advanced in Java/Spring/SQL/Python/Spark.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the SDLC.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, ML).
• Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with validation of AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and design, with ability to solve complex problems.
• Develops secure production code and reviews/debugs code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architectures and feasibility.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies within Software Engineering.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve value realized by automation.
