Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer in our Developer Infrastructure group to own backend architecture, dependency lifecycles, and platform upgrades that accelerate engineering velocity. You will partner with CI/CD, Web Platform, Environments, and AI Enablement to ensure cohesive infrastructure and scalable systems.

You\'ll mentor engineers, diagnose complex performance issues, and drive initiatives to improve developer productivity while aligning with security and reliability

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in software development with distributed systems
• BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Deep expertise in Go, Python and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience shaping product/platform vision and long-term strategy
• Strong architectural skills across complex systems and testing
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership and communication skills
• AI fluency and willingness to explore new AI tools responsibly

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy within Klaviyo's backend domain
• Define architectural roadmap for the platform and upgrades
• Lead dependency management for backend and third-party libraries
• Oversee rollout of major software releases and deployments
• Improve developer productivity and reduce toil
• Mentor senior engineers and foster growth
• Diagnose performance and reliability issues and implement monitoring
