Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Platform Engineering team in Boston. You will set technical direction for core platform services, ensuring scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure used by thousands of engineers.

You’ll own design and evolution of foundational primitives while mentoring teams and driving across-team initiatives. You’ll leverage Python/Go, AWS, and Kubernetes in a cloud-native environment, promoting best practices and IaC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with strong distributed systems exposure.
• 10+ years building large-scale distributed systems and leading technical initiatives.
• Hands-on production software development in Python and/or Go.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical direction for core platform services and ensure scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Set long-term roadmaps for platform primitives used by multiple product teams.
• Own design, development, and evolution of foundational platform components.
