Job summary

Klaviyos seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer in its Developer Infrastructure team to own architecture, health, and dependencies of the backend. You will spearhead platform upgrades, drive efficiency, and mentor engineers across the org.

You will partner with CI/CD, Web Platform, Environments, Quality Tools & Testing and AI Enablement to align technical vision with business goals and accelerate engineering velocity.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development with strong CS fundamentals
• BA or BS in Computer Science or related field
• Deep expertise in Go, Python and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with architectural patterns, domain-driven design and distributed systems
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy for the backend and improve architecture and processes
• Define the platform's technical vision and architectural roadmap for scalability and security
• Lead dependency management across backend and third-party components
• Oversee planning and rollout of major software releases to production
• Drive developer productivity with metrics like PR CI speed and review velocity
• Mentor senior engineers and foster area-wide skill development
• Diagnose performance, reliability issues and implement proactive monitoring
• Collaborate with product, security, hardware, and other stakeholders
• Stay current with emerging technologies to improve systems and processes
