Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer for its Developer Infrastructure team. You will own backend architecture for dependencies and platform upgrades, partnering with CI/CD, Web Platform, Environments, and AI Enablement to accelerate engineering velocity.

You will mentor engineers, drive strategic initiatives to improve platform cycle time, and ensure reliability across services while collaborating with product managers and security teams.

Qualifications

• 12 years of software development experience with distributed systems.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Deep expertise in Go and Python and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in AI tools and responsible AI workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and roadmap for Klaviyo backend systems.
• Architect and govern platform upgrades and dependency management.
• Improve developer productivity by reducing toil and increasing velocity.
• Mentor senior engineers and collaborate across teams.
• Ensure reliability through monitoring and proactive incident prevention.
• Collaborate with product, security, hardware teams to align goals.
