Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer to own RES, the resiliency evidence platform, and to provide hands-on leadership across platform, application, and infrastructure teams in Columbus, OH. You will translate risk/regulatory needs into concrete engineering outcomes and drive end-to-end architecture.

You will lead archival design, DR tests, secure SDLC, and observability, while coordinating with Risk, Audit, and Compliance partners to demonstrate control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or software engineering leading cross-team delivery.
• Proven product ownership: roadmap, backlog, sprint ceremonies, stakeholder communication.
• Deep resiliency engineering and disaster recovery experience with DR tests.
• Understanding of technology risk and control frameworks; translate to requirements.
• Hands-on infra: Linux, containers, Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), multi-AZ/region; AWS.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Python or Java) for APIs and tooling.
• Observability, incident management, runbooks, and postmortems.
• Secure SDLC: threat modeling, SAST/DAST, SBOM, encryption, auth.
• DevOps: CI/CD, Git, pipeline governance.
• Excellent communication; able to work with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to tackle complex design with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, roadmap, and quarterly plan for RES; translate resiliency and audit objectives into a prioritized backlog with outcomes.
• Act as the single-threaded product owner: groom backlog, sprint planning, manage cross-team dependencies and stakeholder updates.
• Provide hands-on infrastructure leadership: define reference architectures, evidence contracts, and integration patterns.
• Translate control objectives and audit findings into engineering requirements and evidence artifacts.
• Partner with platform and infrastructure teams to design telemetry, attestations, restore proofs, and pipelines.
• Steward the end-to-end RES ingestion, storage, validation, and reporting surfaces with clear domain boundaries.
• Drive resilient service design: manage SLOs, latency budgets, and chaos/drills for the platform.
• Champion secure SDLC: threat modeling, SAST/DAST, SBOM management, encryption, authentication/authorization.
• Advance observability: instrument metrics/logs/traces, alerts, runbooks, and postmortems.
• Support CI/CD and test quality; ensure coverage and progressive delivery with rollback plans.
• Represent RES with Risk, Controls, Audit; provide data-backed status updates and evidence packages.
• Support critical environments and on-call obligations for owned services.
• Contribute to engineering culture and firmwide best practices; promote diversity and inclusion.
