Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• Advanced knowledge in Java on Spring Boot programming language.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, mobile).
• Hands-on experience with high throughput, low latency distributed systems.
• Proven record of end-user support and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience leading use of enterprise AI-assisted development tools with team alignment on AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Manage the delivery for two scrum teams.
• Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable validation standards.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve value realized by automation at scale.
• Hands-on coding tech lead minimum 50% of the time.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors/startups/internal teams to test designs and applicability.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness of new technologies.
