Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Lead Network Engineer to lead the evaluation and enhancement of a large‑scale network project in the NPS environment. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing wired and wireless infrastructure and coordinating with state/local government personnel and vendors.

The candidate will oversee troubleshooting, security updates, and documentation, while guiding infrastructure projects and providing knowledge transfer to NPS resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information systems or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage NPS network infrastructure.
• Improve infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities with network management software.
• Develop, maintain and deliver infrastructure documentation for the network in the NPS environment.
• Review best practices and provide architecture/ design/ management recommendations.
• Administer Cloudpath onboarding, monitor wireless health, apply security patches, and perform updates, 0800–1700 PST, Mon-Fri.
• Assess the NPS network infrastructure and make improvement recommendations.
• Define and conduct testing for new infrastructure projects.
• Implement technology solutions within the NPS network environment.
• Provide design guidance on network solutions within NPS projects.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to NPS resources.
