Job summary

Alexander Wang Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager of Product Development for denim and unisex categories.

You will lead end-to-end development from concept to SMS, directing tech packs, fabric/wash development, and vendor relationships to ensure every SKU meets fit, fabric, and construction standards on schedule. You will partner with design, manage proto/SMS calendars, oversee BOMs, and coordinate with overseas factories and the in-house atelier.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field.
7+ years of experience in product development, preferably denim and/or unisex.
End-to-end experience from proto through SMS approval strongly preferred.
Proficient in Adobe InDesign/Illustrator, Microsoft Suite, and PLM systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage samples, BOMs, and development calendars across multiple seasons.
Experience working with an in-house atelier.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Design & Development Partnership: lead development milestones with design and drive sample calendars.
Tech Packs & Style Data: review proto/SMS packs for accuracy and maintain style data in PLM.
Sampling & Vendor Management: coordinate overseas factories and vendor requirements for proto/SMS.
Sample Tracking & Logistics: maintain WIP and organize samples, fabrics, and trims.
Calendar & Budget Management: own calendar, book meetings, issue POs and track expenses.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate with graphics, trims, materials, and merchandising.
