Job summary

Alexander Wang LLC is seeking a Sr. Manager of Product Development for Denim and Unisex to lead end-to-end development from concept to SMS approval, directing tech packs, fabric, wash development, sampling, and vendor relations to meet standards and schedules.

You will partner with design, manage calendars and budgets, coordinate with overseas factories and in-house atelier, review tech packs, input data in PLM, and ensure on-time delivery across multiple seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of product development experience, denim/unisex preferred.
• Proficient with InDesign/Illustrator, MS Office, and PLM systems.
• Experience managing samples, BOMs and development calendars across seasons.
• Experience with in-house ateliers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Design Director to drive development milestones and calendars.
• Review denim and unisex proto/SMS reviews and provide technical feedback.
• Write complete product knowledge descriptions covering fit, fabric, trim, and wash.
• Maintain design boards with current fabric and wash details.
• Manage tech packs, data in PLM, and season BOMs.
• Coordinate proto/SMS with overseas factories and in-house atelier.
• Order trims/fabrics, track lead times, MOQs, and vendor notes.
• Maintain sample WIP, storage, and library organization.
• Own development calendar end-to-end and schedule meetings.
• Issue POs and process invoices for samples and materials.
• Track team expenses and ensure budget adherence.
• Collaborate with graphics, trims, materials, and merchandising teams.
