Job summary

Alexander Wang Inc. is seeking a Director of Product Development for Accessories to lead development across handbags, SLG, and leather goods.

You will own calendars, drive strategic planning, and manage a team that collaborates with design, merchandising, and external suppliers to deliver on aesthetic, cost, and quality targets. You will oversee budgeting, build vendor relationships internationally, and travel as needed to expedite prototyping and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of global accessories product development experience in handbags, SLG and leather goods.
• Experience with manufacturing and material partners across Asia and Europe.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Strong aesthetic sense and deep construction knowledge in luxury leather goods and hardware.
• Proven leadership with budget ownership and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Accessories Product Development team.
• Own development calendars and strategic planning for handbags, SLG and leather goods.
• Align design, merchandising and suppliers to hit milestones and quality targets.
• Oversee the accessories development budget and cost targets.
• Drive process improvements to reduce costs and shorten lead times.
