Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer for its Consumer & Community Banking Risk Technology team. You will lead a Scrum team, craft data utilities, and shape the technical direction for real-time and batch data platforms across AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.

You will write production code daily, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and model-deployment teams to accelerate engineering delivery in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on programming in Java, Python, and Scala.
• Experience delivering high-throughput real-time systems and large Spark workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver reusable frameworks and platforms for real-time and batch processing, including Spark workloads across datasets spanning billions of records.
• Write production code daily; lead by example on design quality, testing, and operational readiness.
• Lead a Scrum team building data utilities; decompose problems and unblock engineers.
• Mentor engineers, raise code-review standards, and grow platform depth.
• Provide data governance insights across acquisition, maintenance, validation, and usage.
• Use enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate design, testing, and documentation with proper data handling.
• Design and deliver trusted data collection, storage, and analytics on AWS, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Build streaming components using Kafka, Cassandra, and related AWS services for real-time consumption.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and deployment teams to meet data requirements.
• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices ensuring traceability and security.
• Present designs and data insights to stakeholders.
