Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver an enterprise-scale data platform enabling trusted risk data products in a secure, scalable manner. You will lead architecture, govern data, and drive modernization across multi-tenant lakehouse environments on Databricks and AWS.

You will mentor engineering teams, collaborate with senior leaders, and ensure governance, security, and performance are embedded in design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on architecture and delivery of large-scale enterprise data platforms (multi-tenant lakehouse or data mesh).
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java and SQL in regulated environments.
• Deep experience with Spark, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake/Apache Iceberg.

Responsibilities

• Owns the technical direction of the platform and lead architecture and design leveraging a Lakehouse on Databricks and AWS.
• Delivers secure, production-grade code for data-intensive systems, including ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines across batch, streaming, and CDC.
• Scales tenant onboarding through self-service by automating onboarding, schema/catalog provisioning, and pipeline orchestration.
• Build infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines using Terraform, CI/CD automation, and guardrails.
