Job summary

Stryker in the United States seeks a Senior Lead, Data Engineering to shape enterprise data platforms, guide multi-year data initiatives, and mentor engineers while elevating data engineering practices across the organization.

You will architect and modernize Azure-based data solutions using Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory and CI/CD pipelines, partnering with procurement, finance, and analytics teams to translate complex needs into scalable data products.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics platform development.
• Proven enterprise data platform experience in cloud environments.
• Hands-on with Azure data engineering stack and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and modernization of scalable enterprise data platforms.
• Define and execute a multi-year data engineering strategy for scalability and maintainability.
• Design, build, and optimize Azure-based data solutions (Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, CI/CD).
• Harmonize data across ERP systems into common models.
• Partner with analysts, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to translate needs into data products.
• Establish standards, review architecture, improve docs, and mentor engineers.
• Identify AI-enabled approaches to improve quality, automation, and productivity.
• Evaluate tools and platform investments for performance, security, governance, and efficiency.
• Support internal data products, APIs, and user-facing apps for procurement insights.
• Present recommendations and roadmap tradeoffs to leadership.
