Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Lead, Data Engineering to shape enterprise data solutions and mentor engineers. You will drive complex data initiatives, partner with teams, and elevate data engineering practices across the organization.

You will design scalable Azure-based data platforms, standardise data models across ERP sources, and lead multi-year strategy for platform modernization. Strong cloud and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 6+ years in data engineering or analytics.
• Proven experience architecting cloud-based data platforms in an enterprise.
• Hands-on Azure data stack expertise: Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, DevOps.
• Strong SQL and Python, with Spark or similar frameworks.
• Experience with ERP data integration and data governance practices.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and modernization of scalable data platforms.
• Define and execute a multi-year data engineering strategy for scalability.
• Design and optimise Azure-based data solutions and pipelines.
• Integrate data across ERP systems into common models.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into data products.
• Establish engineering standards and mentor team members.
• Identify AI-enabled approaches to improve data quality and productivity.
• Present roadmaps, tradeoffs, and impacts to leadership.
