Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a Lead Custodian to supervise custodial staff, coordinate cleaning tasks, and ensure compliance with EVS standards. The role includes hands-on cleaning, floor care, and training new staff. The incumbent may cover shifts in the supervisor's absence and dispatch service requests as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of custodian experience in Health Care required
• 4-6 years of experience at Denver Health with passing competencies
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ability to supervise in absence of supervisor or manager

Responsibilities

• Lead Custodian duties: supervise custodial staff, manage supplies and schedules
• Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and servicing of assigned areas
• Execute detailed cleaning tasks (walls, doors, windows, fixtures) per schedules
• Lead floor care projects including buffing, waxing, and stripping
• Collect and dispose of trash and biohazard waste; maintain closet and carts
• Monitor building security and report maintenance needs
