Job summary

International Motors USA is seeking a Senior Lead Controls Engineer for the Night Shift in San Antonio. This salaried role provides technical leadership and hands-on automation support for night production, including complex automation, robotics, and plant-wide control systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive Rockwell Automation, Ignition SCADA, industrial networking, and PLC troubleshooting experience. You will mentor engineers and technicians, drive downtime reduction, cybersecurity

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
Significant experience with Rockwell Automation platforms and PLCs.
Strong PLC/SCADA troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
Experience leading cross-functional maintenance teams and projects.

Responsibilities

Production Support & Troubleshooting: lead automation-related disruption resolution.
Automation Systems: develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and FactoryTalk apps.
Material Handling & Plant Infrastructure: support conveyors, AGV/AMR, crane systems, MES, and plant visualization.
Continuous Improvement: identify, implement controls improvements for safety, reliability, throughput.
Technical Leadership: act as senior resource for night shift maintenance and ops teams.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: support secure architecture and maintain backups and change management.
