Job summary

Construction Material Testing is looking for a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements. You will lead field inspectors and technicians and own the project QC plan and testing oversight.

Your week centers on definable features of work, coordinating meetings, reviewing reports, and presenting data with the owner.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line with superintendents and owner reps.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
