Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive autonomous AI systems across telemetry pipelines and cloud infrastructure, delivering reliable, scalable technology at enterprise scale.

You will lead architecture and development of production-grade agentic AI with multi‑agent systems, focusing on observability, security, and operational excellence within the Reliability Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Experience with SDLC, automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Hands‑on experience delivering agentic AI to production.
• Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI), runtimes, orchestration and evaluation.
• Experience developing production generative AI applications at scale with retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Strong cloud infrastructure experience (AWS) and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform).
• Experience building distributed systems where reliability matters.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise AI systems that enhance engineering productivity, system reliability, and operational excellence.
• Architect autonomous agents that reason, analyze, and act across system and application reliability.
• Architect and govern agentic components including orchestration, memory/state management, workflow control, and human‑in‑the‑loop patterns.
• Own the agentic architecture non‑functional requirements posture end‑to‑end: observability, security, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Provision and manage scalable AI infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cost optimization.
• Develop secure, high‑quality production code, and review code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs.
