Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte seeks a Senior Talent Acquisition Coordinator, Law Students, to manage a comprehensive law student recruiting program and the annual summer associate program across assigned offices.

You will partner with leadership, hiring partners, and committees to implement strategies, coordinate logistics, and attract top-tier law students while supporting a hybrid work model in Chicago. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of law firm recruiting experience (summer program focus).
• Experience with applicant tracking systems; viRecruit preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with law school career services and student organizations.
• Coordinate firm participation in outreach activities year-round.
• Manage full-cycle 1L/2L recruiting, including on-campus interviews, schedules, feedback, callbacks, and offers.
• Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on progress and candidate pipelines.
• Plan and run the 10-week summer associate program, including work assignments and evaluations.
• Coordinate budgeting for summer events and recruiting activities.
• Maintain ATS data integrity and process background checks and conflicts.
• Process payments, invoices, and reimbursements related to recruiting and onboarding.
• Support firm-wide recruiting initiatives and process improvements.
