Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Coordinator, Law Students, to run law school recruiting and manage summer associate programs for assigned offices, under the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager. You will coordinate with leadership, hiring partners, and committees to implement recruiting strategies and logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years in law firm recruiting or 4–5 years in professional services.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with law school career services offices and student organizations at key feeder schools.
• Coordinate Firm participation in outreach activities throughout the year.
• Manage the full-cycle 1L and 2L law student recruiting process for assigned offices, including on-campus interview logistics, schedules, feedback, and offers.
• Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders regarding recruiting progress and candidate pipelines.
• Plan and execute the full 10-week summer associate program for assigned offices, including work assignments and evaluations.
• Coordinate budgeting for summer program events and recruiting activities.
• Maintain the ATS and ensure data integrity for all applicants and activities.
• Compile post-season recruiting reporting and survey results.
• Interface with candidates, provide correspondence, and process background checks and conflicts.
• Process payments, invoices, and reimbursements for recruiting efforts, the Summer Program, and onboarding.
• Contribute to firm-wide recruiting initiatives and identify workflow improvements.
• Stay informed on market trends, NALP guidelines, and school policies.
