Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations- Final Mile in the United States. The role leads cross-dock distribution, manages the annual budget and labor costs, and oversees daily operations for local and regional home delivery networks.

Success requires 3+ years of related experience, strong reading of safety documents, and the ability to produce routine reports. The position emphasizes efficiency, service improvement, and P&L accountability within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have budget management experience and ability to oversee P&L.
• Strong operations leadership and logistics oversight.
• Experience coordinating cross-dock distribution and home delivery networks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross-dock operation.
• Build and manage the annual operational budget, P&L, and labor costs.
• Lead daily operations for local and regional big and bulky home delivery networks.
• Reduce damage rates, missed delivery windows, and return product costs.
• Resolve high-escalation customer complaints regarding damaged property or late arrivals.
• Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities
• Manages direct reports to include Team Assistant Manager of Operations and Terminal Manager
• Responsible for Recruitment and retention of contract carriers
