Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations- Final Mile to lead daily operations for local and regional home delivery networks in the Oklahoma City area. You will maintain a delivery fleet, reduce losses, and monitor OTD metrics to optimize performance.

The role includes cross-dock coordination, customer liaison, and team leadership to ensure efficient utilization of resources and profitable outcomes. The position requires guiding a team, coordinating with customers and vendors, and driving

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for local and regional big and bulky home delivery networks.
• Maintain a well-kept fleet of delivery trucks and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Reduce damage rates, missed delivery windows, and return product costs.
• Track key metrics like On-Time Delivery (OTD), cost-per-stop, and revenue per truck.
• Resolve high-escalation customer complaints regarding damaged property or late arrivals
• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross-dock operation
• Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
• Reviews costs and making changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisions
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities
• Manages direct reports to include Team Assistant Manager of Operations and Terminal Manager
• Responsible for Recruitment and retention of contract carriers
