Job summary

Simplex seeks a senior engineer to upgrade and modernize Laserfiche ECM, including server infra, applications, and modules. Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days onsite in downtown Austin, 3 days remote (Austin area). 12-month contract initially.

Responsibilities include upgrading Laserfiche servers, workflow services, and integrations; improving automation; and ensuring secure access for users. Requires 8+ years in ECM/workflow roles and hands-on Laserfiche upgrade experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years administering or supporting document management or workflow systems.
• 5+ years building and troubleshooting workflow automations.
• 5+ years planning/executing Laserfiche server and app upgrades.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and IIS.
• 3+ years SQL Server administration and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assess, upgrade, and migrate Laserfiche ECM environment.
• Plan, install, configure, and validate upgrades for servers and web components.
• Enhance infrastructure OS, app servers, databases, and storage.
• Configure secure access for internal/external users.
• Develop docs and operational procedures; provide knowledge transfer.
