Job summary

Simplex Hires LLC on behalf of a successful Agency in Austin, Texas, is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to join a small team on-site in central Austin for a six-month contract with potential permanence.

You will maintain, improve, and configure the Microsoft environment, build a portfolio of recovery tools and processes, and perform upgrades and troubleshooting on Dell hardware. Bonus points for MCSE certification; government or state experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration with senior engineers on a small team.
• Hands-on systems engineering experience with Microsoft environment.
• Ability to work autonomously on infrastructure projects and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, and configure the Microsoft environment per user/project needs.
• Build a portfolio of policies, tools, and processes for IT infrastructure recovery and continuity.
• Perform upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting on systems and hardware (Dell hardware environment).
