Job summary
TE Connectivity in Plymouth, MN, seeks a Sr. R&D Laser Processing Product Development Engineer to lead laser-based manufacturing process development, optimization, and verification for medical devices. You will collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and operations to translate product requirements into repeatable manufacturing solutions.
The role emphasizes design-for-manufacture, FMEA leadership, and driving innovation across NPI projects while ensuring regulatory and DHF compliance.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Biomedical engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
- 5+ years electro-mechanical product design and development experience with a BS.
- Medical product development experience and knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO13485 preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new medical products to meet customer requirements within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Develops design solutions to complex technical problems using data analysis and creativity.
- Lead FMEA and risk analysis reviews on NPI products.
- Translate customer requirements into product specifications and design features.
- Launch medical products with cross-functional teams and document progress per PLM procedures.
