Job summary

TE Connectivity's Medical business unit seeks a hands-on engineer to develop, optimize, and characterize laser-based manufacturing processes for small-scale metallic and polymer components used in medical devices.

You will collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and operations to translate customer requirements into repeatable, cost-efficient production solutions, and lead design reviews, FMEA, and process verification.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering required; MS/PhD a plus.
5+ years in electro-mechanical product design and development.
Medical product development experience and knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO13485 preferred.
Six Sigma certification a plus.
Can-do attitude, resourceful, action oriented, and drive for results.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop new medical products to meet customer requirements within scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop design solutions to complex technical problems requiring data analysis.
Lead NPI projects and provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members.
Lead initial technical reviews and cost estimation analysis for new products.
