Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for the Laser Cutting & Welding team in Plymouth, Minnesota. This on-site role focuses on integrating advanced laser-based processes into production lines while driving continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.

Collaboration with quality, manufacturing, and supply chain is essential to optimize product flow and cost savings. You will lead engineering studies, capability assessments, test validations, and equipment development

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Experience in laser cutting and laser welding manufacturing preferred.
• Strong statistical analysis skills: capability studies, ANOVA, DOE.
• Knowledge of Lean, 6S, and structured problem-solving methods (5-Why, DMAIC).
• Proficient writing and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement site process improvements to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan data collection for problem solving.
• Provide status reports on engineering projects to stakeholders.
• Develop and document processes, tools, and equipment for optimal performance.
• Design and conduct standard engineering tests and experiments.
• Create and refine manufacturing processes and process documentation.
• Support CapEx project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• Develop new processes and systems to advance the organization.
• Coordinate with functional groups to ensure unified progress.
