Job summary

Maverick Group US LLC in Loves Park, IL, is seeking a senior CNC machinist/programmer for first shift to maximize output of a large twin-column VMC setup. You will perform full setups, program and modify tooling, and drive standardization across three large machines.

The role blends hands-on machining with programming and growth toward a technical lead position. The ideal candidate has strong FANUC control experience, CAD/CAM (Fusion) familiarity, and leadership capability.

Qualifications

• Experience with large vertical milling equipment and heavy parts.
• Ability to program or modify existing programs on FANUC controls.
• CAD/CAM experience with Fusion preferred; Okuma machines experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaborative approach; ability to lead/process standardization.
• On-site, first shift work with hands-on machining and setups.

Responsibilities

• Perform full setups and operate large vertical milling equipment.
• Program new jobs and modify existing programs.
• Troubleshoot non-standard issues and restart programs as needed.
• Handle cranes and material movement; ensure safe operations.
• Develop and standardize processes, setups, and programming practices.
• Collaborate with operators and peers to improve machine utilization.
• Over time, expand offline programming use.
