Job description

We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Programmer proficient in Mastercam to create and refine programs for our lathe and mill operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for analyzing technical blueprints, determining the best tooling strategies, resolving machining challenges, and working alongside our engineering and production departments to uphold high standards of quality and operational productivity.

Compensation and Schedule

Hourly rate: $31 to $35. This is a first-shift position.

Core Duties

• Create, refine, and enhance CNC programs through the use of Mastercam.
• Program milling and turning equipment to ensure all production and quality benchmarks are achieved.
• Analyze technical drawings, CAD files, and GD&T requirements to ensure production accuracy.
• Determine the most effective cutting tools and workholding strategies to improve overall shop throughput.
• Resolve issues related to programming, machine setup, and general machining operations.
• Assist with machine setup, initial prove-outs, and the inspection of first-run parts to maintain high quality standards.
• Keep precise records of all programming documentation and version history.
• Work closely with the production and engineering teams to streamline cycle times and boost manufacturing efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of professional CNC programming background.
• Current and demonstrable proficiency in Mastercam.
• Proven history of programming CNC lathes, mills, or a combination of both.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various machining techniques, tooling selection, and workholding setups.
• Ability to accurately read and apply blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T standards.
• Familiarity with Fanuc or Haas control systems is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on precision and detail.
