Job summary

Wes Manufacturing, a growing modern machine shop in California, seeks a Senior Mill Programmer. You will program and set up CNC milling and lathe operations, design fixtures, and develop manufacturing documents to guide setup and processes.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for improving cycle times and part finish. Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks is preferred, along with Fanuc controller familiarity.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC mills (3‑axis and 5‑axis) and CNC lathe using Mastercam.
• SolidWorks CAD modeling and fixture/tooling design experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with aerospace, medical, and semiconductor manufacturing standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for precision work.

Responsibilities

• Program and setup CNC milling machines and lathes.
• Setup and optimize programs from other programmers.
• Design fixtures and tooling for milling and turning operations.
• Develop setup instructions, in-process drawings and process control charts.
• Perform in-process inspections and improve cycle times and finish.

Senior Mill Programmer

• Program and setup CNC milling machines (3-Axis and 5-Axis) as well as CNC Lathe using MasterCam.
• Setup and optimize programs from other programmers
• Design and make fixtures and tooling for CNC milling and lathe operation.
• Develop manufacturing documentation (setup instructions, in-process measurement drawings and process control measurement charts, and work-piece loading and unloading instructions).
• Perform in-process inspections.
• Improve manufacturing process to reduce cycle-time and setup time, and improve repeatability and finish on milled and turned parts.

Qualifications

• CNC programming using Mastercam and CAD modeling using SolidWorks would be ideal.
• Mechanical fabrication skills including drilling, turning, and milling.
• Knowledge of precision machining requirements for Aerospace, Medical and Semiconductor industries preferred.
• Experience working with Fanuc controllers.
• Excellent communication skills
