Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a lead level field property claims adjuster in Washington. This senior role investigates highly complex property claims, determines liability, evaluates coverages, conducts on-site inspections, negotiates with insureds and attorneys, and settles claims. A fleet vehicle is provided and relocation support is offered.

You will report to a Large Loss Senior Manager and travel up to 50–75% as needed, with compensation ranging from $99,000 to $163,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Advanced Xactimate experience required.
• 5+ years' experience handling field property personal lines claims required.
• Prefer someone who has handled claims over $50,000.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of high exposure claims by contacting appropriate parties.
• Conducts on-site inspections, evaluates damages, negotiates with insureds and attorneys.
• Responds to inquiries, makes decisions, and closes files as needed.
