Job summary

GridStor is seeking a Large Loads Solutions Engineer based in Portland, OR, with a hybrid work schedule. You will lead technical discussions with hyperscalers, data centers, and AIDC developers, owning the technical aspects of large-load opportunities from concept to Final Investment Decision.

The role requires a blend of high-level design, economic dispatch understanding, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power Systems Engineering or related field.
• “5+ years in technical sales, applications engineering or systems engineering in renewable energy or critical power industry.”
• Hybrid working requirement with base in GridStor hub offices in Portland, LA or Denver.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and value propositions for large-load opportunities.
• Develop hybrid storage + generation system designs with controls and dispatch strategy.
• Support modeling and grid simulations to demonstrate project solutions for load smoothing, VFE/ride-through, and grid-forming.
• Prepare technical exhibits for offtake agreements and RFI/RFP responses.
