Job summary

GridStor is seeking a Large Loads Solutions Engineer to lead technical discussions with hyperscalers and data centers from Portland, OR, on a hybrid schedule. You will own technical design, dispatch strategy, and value stacking of energy storage solutions for BTM customers, guiding projects toward Final Investment Decision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in technical sales, applications engineering or systems engineering in renewable energy or critical power.
• Experience with data center power systems highly preferred.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong discretion handling confidential information and integrity in judgment.
• Proficiency in AutoCad, Bluebeam, SKM or PSCAD is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of codes and standards for utility-scale energy storage and data centers.

Responsibilities

• Develop hybrid system designs (storage + generation) with controls and dispatch strategy.
• Progress to 30% design packages including site layouts and electrical plans.
• Lead technical components of RFI/RFPs for large loads and BOM decisions.
• Support modeling and grid simulations for dispatch and value stacking.
• Create technical bulletins and documentation for internal/external use.
• Interface with large load customers and define techno-economic strategies.
