You will partner with agents and brokers, negotiate terms, and contribute to portfolio growth while applying EMC’s underwriting guidelines and tools. This role supports growth across large accounts while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance or business administration or equivalent experience.
• Five years of commercial underwriting experience or related experience.
• Experience with large accounts including $500K+ premium accounts and complex risk profiles preferred.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable Large Accounts portfolio within underwriting authority and territory.
• Evaluate complex multi-line accounts to determine pricing, coverage structures, and risk.
• Apply underwriting guidelines using loss history, financial data, risk control reports, and pricing tools.
• Maintain accurate underwriting documentation to support decisions and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate underwriting terms, conditions, and pricing for Large Accounts.
• Build and strengthen relationships with brokers and agents to drive growth and retention.
• Educate agency partners on EMC’s Large Accounts appetite and capabilities.
• Conduct agency visits to discuss opportunities and market updates.
• Partner with regional leadership on agency strategy and business development.
• Collaborate with internal partners to optimize portfolio performance.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to inform strategies.
