Our client, a respected and growing multidisciplinary engineering, planning, surveying, and landscape architecture firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect / Land Planner – Project Manager to join its team in Burtonsville, Maryland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced land-planning professional who understands how to advance private-sector development projects from early planning through entitlement, agency review, permitting, and approval.
The position is primarily focused on land planning, project management, entitlement processing, and agency coordination. While a background in landscape architecture is valuable, this is not a design-heavy role. The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients, engineers, consultants, planning departments, and reviewing agencies while managing multiple projects throughout Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Howard Counties.
This position is best suited for someone whose career has centered on land planning, entitlements, development approvals, and project leadership.
Candidates with a Landscape Architecture background are encouraged to apply, but the firm is specifically seeking someone with significant experience navigating the land development approval process—not someone whose experience has been primarily focused on planting design, landscape design, or construction administration.
The right person will enjoy managing complex projects, solving entitlement and regulatory challenges, building strong client and agency relationships, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
