Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Systems Verification & Certification Engineer to support a Landing Gear Program in Burlington, VT. You will review requirements, verification activities, and supplier deliverables, ensuring end-to-end traceability and compliance evidence.

The ideal candidate has 7–15 years in aerospace engineering, strong knowledge of verification and certification processes, and experience with DOORS, Jama, or Polarion, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Onsite work in Burlington, VT preferred; remote on Eastern Time acceptable.
• Strong background in aircraft systems engineering, verification, qualification, or certification.
• Direct experience with landing gear systems preferred.
• Experience reviewing deliverables from third-party aerospace suppliers.
• Experience with requirements management and traceability.
• Experience with verification plans, qualification tests, and test reports.
• Ability to work independently as a technical subject matter expert.
• Strong communication and coordination with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with DOORS, Jama, or Polarion.

Responsibilities

• Review and update landing gear system specs and requirements.
• Review requirements from third-party landing gear suppliers.
• Manage requirements and maintain end-to-end traceability.
• Review changes and assess impact on verification evidence.
• Support verification of safe-landing requirements.
• Review verification and validation plans.
• Review supplier test plans, procedures, results, and reports.
• Analyze qualification and certification evidence.
• Confirm evidence verifies applicable system requirements.
• Identify missing or insufficient verification and compliance evidence.
• Perform verification and compliance gap assessments.
• Define additional verification activities or tests.
• Prepare or update verification plans, compliance reports, and certification deliverables.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers and internal teams.
• Track open verification actions and resolve them.
• Support certification readiness for the Landing Gear Program.
