Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Systems Verification & Certification Engineer to support a Landing Gear Program in Burlington, VT. The role verifies landing gear systems and supplier delivers, reviews requirements, and ensures traceability and certification readiness.

You will independently review requirements, verification activities, and certification evidence, coordinating with third‑party suppliers and internal teams to close gaps and prepare deliverables.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years in aerospace engineering.
• Onsite in Burlington, VT preferred or remote on Eastern Time.
• Experience with landing gear systems strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing verification deliverables from third‑party suppliers.
• Experience with requirements management and traceability.
• Experience reviewing verification plans, test procedures, and reports.
• Experience identifying verification and compliance gaps.
• Ability to prepare or review certification and means‑of‑compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and update landing gear system specifications and requirements.
• Review requirements for landing gear systems from third‑party suppliers.
• Manage requirements and maintain end‑to‑end traceability.
• Assess impact of requirement changes on system and verification evidence.
• Support verification of safe‑landing requirements.
• Review verification and validation plans and supplier test artifacts.
• Analyze qualification and certification evidence.
• Identify missing or insufficient verification and compliance evidence.
• Define additional verification activities or test cases for gaps.
• Prepare verification plans, compliance reports, and certification deliverables.
• Coordinate with third‑party suppliers and internal teams.
• Track open verification actions and support their resolution.
• Support certification readiness for the Landing Gear Program.
