Job summary

WM is seeking a Landfill Operations Supervisor in California to lead field crews, oversee MSW and Haz Waste operations, and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient performance at a hands-on site.

You will manage operators, technicians, and leads, coordinate maintenance, safety initiatives, and project execution, leveraging GPS, surveying, and CAD knowledge as a plus; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of prior experience beyond education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise landfill staff and ensure quality, timeliness, and policy compliance.
• Coordinate workflow toward operational goals.
• Supervise daily landfill operations and enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
• Collect readings and submit records/reports.
• Oversee personnel needs including coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
