Job summary

WM is seeking an on-site Landfill Operations Supervisor to lead a team of operators and technicians at a busy landfill handling MSW and Haz Waste streams. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coordinating workflow, maintenance activities, safety initiatives, and project execution in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in landfill or similar field operations, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 4 years of experience preferred
• Leadership experience in landfill/construction/earthmoving environments
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise landfill staff and review work for quality, timeliness and adherence to policies
• Coordinate workflow to achieve operational goals
• Monitor daily landfill operations and enforce safety regulations and company policies
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and inspections
• Collect readings and prepare records and reports
• Coach, train, and evaluate personnel; contribute to performance decisions
