Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Bozeman/Billings, MT seeks a Senior Land Surveyor to lead daily survey operations across construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys. You will apply advanced surveying principles to production duties and project delivery while guiding junior staff.

Requirements include a BS/AS in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of experience (12 preferred), a Land Surveyor license, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, and MS Office. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• This role requires extensive surveying knowledge and accuracy in field and office work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating with clients, agencies, and field crews.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex survey work for construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys.
• Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports.
• Prepare survey computations, staking/control exhibits, and field notes for projects.
• Supervise CAD Techs and mentoring junior staff.
• Support GPS equipment, total stations, levels, and other survey instruments.
• Build relationships with clients and coworkers; participate in proposals and budgets.
