Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Land Purchasing Manager in Jacksonville, FL to coordinate contracting of Land Development vendors, review civil plans, and ensure adherence to Lennar standards. The role requires strong purchasing, budgeting, and analytical capabilities within a heavy civil context.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Project Managers, contract issuance, and bid analysis to secure best value while managing development costs and schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in civil engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in raw land development, civil engineering, value engineering, or estimating.
• Offsite purchasing experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with infrastructure, developing scopes, grading, environmental is highly preferred.
• Must have sound negotiating and influencing skills.
• Experience with on-screen takeoff applications such as Bluebeam or Planswift.

Responsibilities

• Review civil construction drawings and provide feedback to ensure plans meet Lennar standards.
• Work with Project Managers to keep development budgets current and accurate.
• Oversee bidding to obtain best price, quality, and performance.
• Issue contracts and work orders and track them against budgets.
• Assist in forecasting expenditures for cash flow modeling.
