Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in Wall Township, NJ seeks an experienced Land Development Project Manager to lead diverse land development projects from feasibility to closeout. You will coordinate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver design, permitting, and construction support.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 8–15+ years of experience, and a NJ PE license or ability to obtain one. Strong leadership, communication, and NJ regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• 8-15+ years of experience in civil/site engineering and land development.
• PE license in NJ or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on land development projects.
• Strong knowledge of site design, grading, stormwater, utilities, erosion control, and construction practices.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD and related software.
• Experience with project budgeting, contracts, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and client relationship management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead land development projects from feasibility through design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, developers, architects, contractors, municipalities, and regulators.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and deliverables.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, surveyors, planners, and consultants.
• Oversee site plans, grading/drainage, stormwater designs, utility plans, erosion/sediment control, and permit applications.
• Ensure compliance with municipal, county, NJDEP, and other regulations.
• Manage regulatory approval processes, agency coordination, and board presentations.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of plans, reports, and deliverables.
• Identify and resolve technical, regulatory, scheduling, staffing, and budget issues.
• Provide construction administration and field support (RFIs, submittals, site meetings).
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and client relationships.
• Maintain long-term client relationships and identify new opportunities.
