Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead and grow our Land Development practice across New York & New Jersey. The role requires a PE license and 12+ years in site development, with responsibilities spanning design leadership, client relations, and business growth.

Responsibilities include serving as Engineer of Record, mentoring staff, and coordinating with regulators to obtain approvals, while managing projects to scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New York or ready for reciprocity within six months.
• 12–20+ years of progressive civil engineering experience focused on land development.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of land development projects from concept through construction.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for various developments.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Develop and maintain client relationships as a technical advisor.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Mentor and develop engineers and staff.
• Oversee site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, erosion control, and construction documents.
