Job summary

Databricks is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect (Lakebase) to lead client engagements, design architecture, and deliver multi-cloud data solutions that drive adoption of the Lakehouse/Databricks platform. You will partner with Account Executives to position the product, create demos, and craft collateral to accelerate customer decisions.

You will influence product direction by providing field-driven insights and will resolve the most complex technical challenges in mission-critical

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a customer-facing, pre-sales or consulting role influencing technical executives, driving high-level data strategy and product adoption.
• Experience co-planning large territories with Account Executives and cross-functional effort across GTM and R&D teams.
• Experience collaborating with Global System Integrators (GSIs) and third-party consulting organisations to drive customer outcomes.
• Proficient in programming, debugging, and problem-solving using SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience building solutions within major public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Broad experience across data engineering, data warehousing, AI, ML, governance, transactional systems, app development, and streaming.
• Undergraduate degree (or higher) in a technical field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GTM leadership and account teams to design and execute high‑impact engagement strategies across your territory.
• As a trusted advisor, serve as an expert Solutions Architect and "champion," building technical credibility with stakeholders to drive product adoption and vision.
• Enable clients at scale through workshops and developing customer‑facing collateral that helps increase technical knowledge and thought leadership.
• Influence product roadmap by translating field‑derived, data‑driven insights into strategic recommendations for Product and Engineering teams
• Handle the most complex technical challenges in this product line by acting as the tier‑3 escalation point for the field, ensuring customer success in mission‑critical environments.
