Qualifications

• Doctoral/Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology with at least 2 years of high-complexity testing experience.
• Associates degree with specified science hours and at least 2 years of clinical lab training in high complexity testing.
• Grandfather Provision for those previously qualified as general supervisor in a CLIA-labeled lab as of 2024.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory compliance: maintain CLIA requirements and quality management systems.
• Personnel management: develop training programs and supervise staff daily.
• Operational oversight: manage daily workflows, sample accessioning, processing, QC, and metrics.
• Quality assurance: investigate non-conforming products, CAPA, and track trends; support management reviews.
• Technical support: provide on-site and remote support to the laboratory director.
• Delegated responsibilities: ensure remedial actions, review test results, orient staff, and evaluate competency.
