Job summary

Adventist Health Portland seeks a laboratory leader to oversee the overall operation of the clinical laboratory, in consultation with Medical Directors, and to develop policies for QA, regulatory compliance, and client services.

The role supervises personnel, develops reports, and ensures adherence to accreditation standards while coordinating financial management and budgeting for laboratory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in medical technology or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Five years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• One year leadership experience preferred.
• Current certification: ASCP or MT-AMT required in OR and HI.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the laboratory unit.
• Develops and maintains QA programs and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors testing and QA procedures; records and reports results.
• Manages budgets and financial performance of lab services.
• Supervises staff and coordinates scheduling and training.
