Job description

SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours per week.

Schedule need is varied and could be days/evenings/nights, including weekends.

Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Required Qualifications:

  1. H.S. Diploma or GED.
  2. Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program.
  3. Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or Washington Medical Assistant Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior phlebotomy experience.
